Purchase of the Elston Australian Emerging Leaders Fund

Within the Australian equity component of investor portfolios, we have included the Elston Australian Emerging Leaders Fund (“Emerging Leaders Fund”).

The Emerging Leaders Fund strategy invests in ASX listed businesses that are outside of the ASX100. The portfolio comprises a concentrated set of high-quality businesses with strong growth prospects.

The portfolio’s exposure outside of the ASX100 and the establishment of the capabilities required to manage the strategy has been under consideration and development for the past two years. Accordingly, we believe the addition of the Emerging Leaders Fund provides several advantages to investor portfolios.

Specifically, it rounds out the underlying Australian equity exposure across the broader equity market whilst providing diversification benefits across investment style, investment themes, market capitalisation and market sectors. For these reasons, we believe the combination of the Australian Large Companies and Emerging Leaders Fund strategies will blend well, providing risk and return benefits.

The Elston Australian Emerging Leaders Fund is a registered managed investment scheme (ARSN 649 899 301) issued by Equity Trustees Limited (AFSL 240975).
