The 2014 Elston Picnic Races have once again been a massive hit! The day was a great opportunity for the Wide Bay team to support what has become a major event in the local calendar. The funds raised go into maintaining and upgrading the local sporting facilities that help keep the children of the region fit and active. The Wide Bay team took the chance to host a new crop of clients at the event so that they can experience a little bit of Flemington in their own back yard. The day was jam packed with fashions on the field, fine food, good company, a little champagne and the appearance of Elston Man in a hotly contested mascot race.
This year the prestigious ‘Elston Cup’ was taken out by Archie in what can only be described as a race for the ages.
