Ever since we launched the Elston Philanthropic Service (EPS) to help our clients connect with causes that are close to their hearts, team members at different Elston branches have been inspired to begin their own philanthropic journeys.

While attending a fundraising event, the Ballina team were introduced to a local charity called Chip Inn With Jase. This unique charity operates a food truck that specialises in selling hot chips in the Ballina region. The money they make supports local mental health organisations. The hot chip truck also employs people from the local community who may be struggling with unemployment or mental health issues.

After hearing of the positive impact Chip Inn with Jase has, the Elston team in Ballina wanted to help. Together with the whole of Elston, they donated funds to assist the charity with the incredible work they do. With the prevalence of mental health issues, and the need for greater awareness, the Ballina team were honored to be able to chip in.

The Elston team in Wide Bay are jumping behind the wheel of a trusty red Commodore for a good cause. They’re participating in the 2019 Dunga Derby, a car rally adventure that kicks off in Hervey Bay and treks out into the bush for four days of fundraising fun.

All 55 vehicles in the rally are dressed up for the occasion. Our car is called the Elston Brake Dancers. If you want to track our progress, support us with a donation, or just see how good our car looks, visit: https://www.rallyforacause.org.au/dunga-derby/teams/elston
