The speed and magnitude of recent events have shocked us all. The floods have hit our neighbours, our friends, our workmates, our clients. And it’s hard to know how long the road to recovery may be.
Our Ballina office is surrounded by floodwater and we know so many local businesses who have suffered the same fate. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s not going to break our spirit.
Through the Elston Giving Committee we’re looking for the best way we can give. We’re seeing how quickly we can donate money and where it can go to make a real difference. At the same time the Elston mud army’s numbers are swelling with volunteers who can’t wait to get out there and help people to get back on their feet.
We know you’ll all be doing what you can to help. Just like in 2011, the feeling of community is growing even stronger and we will work together to get through this challenge. To everyone out there, please stay safe. Our thoughts are with you and your families.
